- Hi and welcome to my blog. I am so excited to meet new people through this. I am 29 years old, enjoying my life in Baltimore. I moved here 7 years ago from Little Rock, Arkansas. GO HOGS! I have been married for just over 3 years and loving every minute of it! He treats me so well (Nick, if you are reading this, don't let that go to your head :) ). I am a pediatric nurse at one of the main hospitals here in B-more. I work in a pediatric hematology/oncology clinic caring for kids with blood disorders and cancer. These kids are my inspiration. They are so sick, yet (with smiles and laughter) act like nothing in the world could ruin their day. My husband and I bought our first "fix-it-upper" house back in the fall of 2006. It's a very OLD row house in the city that we hope to make a little more modernized. We are exposing the brick inside, restoring the hardwood floors, and eventually get a roof-top deck. Of course, there is a WHOLE lot more to be done. This blog was created to share our progress with others and also share other stories with you. Feel free to check it out and leave comments.

Hey Becca! I got your comment and to answer your question, I showed pretty early. That is one of the Old Wives Tales about carrying a girl that has turned out to be true, at least for my friends. I gained 11 pounds in my first trimester and then last month only gained 1 pound. One of my other friends who had a girl gained 15 in the first trimester. My 2 friends that are having boys gained 4 pounds in the first trimester. So, I looked pregnant about 8 weeks into the game and I was really sweating it!
